BridgeServer

BridgeServer is a data extraction tool used to organize the exchange of information between databases. It provides a graphical user interface to the table structures of the target databases and facilitates the identification of areas containing similar kinds of information within two database systems.

BridgeServer allows users to:

  • Define retrieval schema to select only those portions of each database to read during periodic extractions.
  • Use date filters to restrict the extracted data to a particular time period.
  • Use the Cross References Feature to create specified fields, allowing disparate databases to exchange information.
  • Define matches manually.
  • Track records in the absence of unique identifiers.
  • Identify records that remain unmatched after a data exchange.
  • Configure alerts to be sent to specific e-mail addresses.
  • Keep an internal log of errors and causes.
  • Audit database changes.

BridgeServer is designed as middleware, allowing it to supply primary applications with data extracted from one or more database systems. It can also be used as a development tool, simplifying apparent database structure and allowing you to isolate tables and fields containing data of interest. It is read-only in its interaction with target databases and cannot delete, update or insert records or modify tables, fields or indices within target databases.
