Adaptive Equipment for SSA

Adaptive Equipment for the Social Security Administration

When the Social Security Administration (SSA) sought a partner to help them achieve compliance with Section 508 legislation, requiring equal usability and access to technology to their 1,700 disabled employees nationwide, the agency turned to ITG for Adaptive Equipment.

What is Section 508?

Section 508 is an amendment to the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Enforced since 2001, this legislation requires that electronic and information technology (EIT) developed or purchased by the Federal Government be made accessible to people with disabilities.

ITG knows that disabilities don’t have to stand in the way of delivering high levels of performance. Our well-recognized accomplishments with assistive technologies (AT) have empowered disabled people for over ten years. Assistive Technologies provide technology access and operability to disabled employees of government and private sector organizations.
