ITG holds Multiple Quality Certifications

ITG Holds ISO 9001:2008, CMMI Level III, and ISO/IEC 20000-1:2005 Certifications

FALLS CHURCH, VA – January 15, 2007Integration Technologies Group, Inc. (ITG), a leading provider of IT products and services, announced that it has achieved ISO/IEC 20000-1:2005 certification. With this achievement, ITG becomes one of the first U.S. organizations to hold certifications for ISO 9001:2008, CMMI Level III, and ISO/IEC 20000-1:2005.

Previously entitled “BS 15000,” the standard was adopted and formalized by the International Organization of Standardization (ISO) in December of 2005 and documented formally as ISO/IEC 20000-1:2005, and referred to as ISO 20000. An ISO 20000 IT Service Management System (ITSMS) is an integrated approach that ensures effective and efficient delivery of managed IT services that meet business and customer requirements.

In December 2006, the British Standards Institute (BSI) assessed ITG, and formally awarded ITG with its ISO 20000 certification in January 2007. “This is an exciting time for BSI, ITG, and for ISO,” said Marcus Darby, BSI Customer Manager. “This latest standard, addressing IT Service Management is recognized by the Federal Government, and the IT industry. To see a dynamic, mid-size organization such as ITG operating in compliance with all three quality standards is a very strong statement about their commitment to quality.”

This certification continues ITG’s record for implementing best practice methodologies into everyday business practices. “When we learned of ISO 20000 and the value it would add to our service delivery process and as result to our customers, we made the decision to incorporate it into our existing ISO 9001 and CMMI-based Quality Management System” said Michael Angelakis, ITG President and CEO. “We strive to continually improve and strengthen our competitive position in this ever-demanding marketplace.”

ITG’s commitment to obtaining certifications has helped the company win prestigious government contracts. In July 2006, ITG was an award recipient on a $ 5 billion ten year IDIQ from the Army on its ADMC2 contract. Angelakis added, “We were honored to be selected by the US Army, and attribute the award, to a large degree, to our quality platform.”

Additionally, ITG demonstrates their commitment to quality with the establishment of a new business unit, Quality, Standards & Performance Solutions. The core competency of this business unit is focused on assisting clients with quality systems training, implementation, and certification to these various quality models and standards. ITG’s hands on knowledge and experience combined with its practical approach towards implementation aids clients in understanding and demystifying these quality standards and simplifying the certification process.
